2011 is in the bag, and we've already kicked off the new year with a show up in my hometown of Winnfield, LA at Corinth Baptist Church. I'm always happy to get back up there and rock out, and this time, even got to do so with my dad throwing down on a couple of songs on the acoustic bass.
One thing that is hugely different for us this year is the lack of long term recurring shows, i.e. The Gathering at FBC in Zachary and FUZE at Heart of Worship in Pineville. While it will be sad not to see the groups regularly that we've really come to love, we are excited about the new opportunities ahead and the fact that we will see them again (like FBCZ when they finish their new rockin' youth center). We are supremely blessed to have already booked many events for the coming year! Take a look at the calendar to schedule some time to come hear/meet us and make random requests (no "Free Bird", please).
We've been in the studio a ton lately working on a few tunes with Anna Margaret and are now trying to finish up a worship album. And by "we", I really mean Blake, since he's our resident engineer/producer/drummer/percussionist/bgv/writer who literally lives in the studio. Yes, literally.
So, starting in a couple of weeks, we get real busy and hope to see you guys on the road somewhere. Preferably at a show and not just hitching your way to the nearest BK. Be sure and drop us a line on facebook or twitter and let us know what's up!
